Service Description: Works in partnership with community social agencies to provide crisis response services to individuals experiencing a mental health or addictions crisis who cannot safely wait for community mental health and addiction support.

Services include:
  • 24 hour Crisis telephone line
  • Walk-in service within the Crisis and Mental Wellness Centre at 744 Ouellette Ave
  • Windsor Regional Hospital - Ouellette Campus, Emergency Department at 1030 Ouellette Ave daily 7am-11pm
  • Follow up crisis counselling and referral

As of May 1, 2025 addictions services offered through HDGH's Addiction Assessment and Referral program have been absorbed by our Mental Health and Addictions Urgent Care Crisis Centre (MHAUCC) program. Any client who meets the criteria outlined above may attend the MHAUCC for these services. 

Crisis walk-in service is available at Windsor Regional Hospital Ouellette Campus Emergency Department - 1030 Ouellette Ave * daily 7am-11pm

Fees: Services are provided at no cost upon presentation of a valid OHIP card
Application: Call or drop in * accepts self-referral
Waiting Period: clients walking into the MHAUCC are usually seen within one hour
Eligibility / Target Population: Individuals 16 years or older who are experiencing a mental health or addictions crisis who cannot safely wait for community mental health and addiction support.
Languages: English * French
Language Notes: Interpretation available upon request
